Nuwara Eliya Post Office
One of Sri Lanka's oldest post offices
The British built the Tudor-style two-story red-brick building with a clock tower in 1894. The previous postmaster's residential quarters on the upper floor of the post office were transformed into visitor accommodations in 2012. To honour World Postal Day, Sri Lanka Post issued a Rs. 10 stamp featuring a photograph of the Post Office on December 26, 1990, thus solidifying the structure's historical importance.
